Calabash a carve project

A friend from Germany will leave Taiwan. I intend to make a small piece as a gift for him. Make a handcraft that can represent Chinese tradition culture.

Calabash

Calabash in Chinese word is "葫蘆". The "福" is homophone.

"福" in Chinese word is meaning that good luck or good fortune.

So calabash is the best choice.

I chose Taiwan hinoki to this project. Taiwan hinoki have special smell. I like it so much.
